Providence Health & Services Victim Advocate in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Victim Advocate (Per Diem, Nights) to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
Provides advocacy, support, information and referrals for adult and child victims and their families. Provides services appropriate to patients in various age groups, cultural backgrounds, and disabilities. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes and supports the Core Values of the Sisters of Providence.
This is a position that will primarily work the night shift.
In this position you will:
Support the Crisis Line by scheduling shifts as required by the agency protocol and ensure calls are being responded to in a timely manner.
Respond to ED as necessary, providing victims and families with age appropriate crisis intervention, emotional support, information, and resources.
Contacts client within 48 hours of initial service, documents contact as required by procedures and submits documentation to the office in a timely manner, makes referrals to staff advocate if client is in need of case management.
Contacts supervisor to notify of any changes in availability or scheduling in a timely manner, consults with supervisor on difficult or unusual cases, attends regular meetings as required by procedures.
Provides on going support to victims.
Maintain confidentiality of all records and medical center information at all times.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School deploma or equivalent
Sufficient education to read and understand instructions
Core advocate training program
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor Degree
