Providence Unit Leader - Camp Providence in Everett, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Unit Leader (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Camp Providence at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a group of Camp Prov campers. May be assigned to plan and implement free-time activities with their group, serve lunch and/or snacks.
In this position you will:
Demonstrate age specific patient care considerations for the population served.
Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool.
Assist participants and co-workers with camp activities:
Lead an assigned group of Camp Prov volunteers and children through day camp activities.
Facilitate involvement of volunteers and camp participants in program.
Provide clear communication of camper's daily activities and state to parents.
Receive and act on parent information provided daily.
Participate in team performance improvement activities:
Demonstrates problem solving skills to ensure continuity of program
Participate in camp staff meetings to ensure understanding of guidelines and safety for campers:
Support the safety of campers and camp staff at all times.
Responsible for completing special incident reports.
Adheres to policies and procedures regarding safety.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Sufficient education to read & understand instructions.
Experience with young children in groups.
Experience working with children with special health care needs.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- High School Diploma or combination of education and directly related work experience.
