Providence Health & Services RN Admission Coordinator - Nursing Management (0.6 FTE Night Shift) in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling an RN Admission Coordinator (0.6 FTE, Night Shift) for Nursing Management to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, WA.
The Administrative Nursing Admission Coordinator has the primary responsibility of assigning bed placement for patients requiring admission to acute care and critical care units.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for admissions from emergency departments, direct admits and inter-unit transfers.
Coordinate requests for surgicalpatients(inthecase of add on procedures and/or changes to admission) as well as pediatrics, patients to CDU and admissions from outside facilities, will filter through this process
Review chartsand/orcallsto clarify bed criteria will be performed to assure appropriate bed placement
Collaboratewithnursing,physicians,EVS,thenursingresource office and other facilities to define, reduce and eliminate barriers within the system which may impede patient flow
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’sDegreeinNursingfrom an accredited School of Registered Nursing
CurrentWashington State Registered Nurse license required
3 years Charge experience
Abilityto work with people who may be injured, infirmed or confused and their families; understanding their needs and concerns is crucial
Minimum 5 years’ RN experience in either ED, ICU and/or 5 years Acute Care Inpatient Nursing
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Leadershipexperience preferred
