Providence Health & Services Radiology Technologist in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Radiologic Technologist (0.5 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Imaging Services at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
We are seeking a detail-oriented radiology technologist to provide patient care services using imaging modalities.
In this position you will:
Demonstrates age specific patient care considerations for the population served:
Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool.
Performs all radiographic procedures on patients in all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Communicates pending exam/patient information to on coming shift:
Performs all required exams.
Understands functional software on machine.
Completes exams according to established department protocols and guidelines.
Seeks input from radiologist when appropriate.
Reconstructs and films exams in a timely manner to provide accurate avenues for diagnosis. Prepares films for file room and/or hangs films on viewers for timely review by the Radiologist.
All clinical and billing data is accurate, completed and submitted as required.
Film transmission or hanging for interpretation by Radiologist is completed timely and properly.
Follows all procedures and guidelines pertaining to the use of barium in patient exams:
Utilizes barium for upper GI exams and barium enema exams.
Disposes of barium according to hospital guidelines.
Ensures radiologist, P.A. or R.A. is participating in examination and proceeds under their direction.
Maintains proficiency and the operation of the computer system to ensure timely procedure is performed and proper billing of patients occurs:
Attends training classes.
Orders correctly submitted and processed on computer. Ordered tests match completed paperwork.
EDEs are completed by the end of the shift.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's Degree -OR- Two (2) year Technical Program.
Completion of approved Radiology Technologist Training Program -OR- A combination of education and directly related work experience.
Knowledge of technical, diagnostic & emergency procedures and standards related to Imaging/Radiology.
Active WA State Radiology Technologist license.
Valid ARRT certification in Radiology.
Must continue to be in good standing with ARRT and Washington State while employed.
A valid CPR card is required and must be obtained within two (2) weeks from date of hire.

- Recent radiographic experience
