Providence Health & Services New Grad RN Resident - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (July 8th Cohort) in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse Resident to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
We are seeking a recent Registered Nurse (RN) graduate, or a RN who is new to acute care, to acclimate to the hospital under the guidance of an experienced RN Preceptor while participating in professional development, clinical coaching, and facilitated learning sessions.
This residency program is scheduled to start on Monday, July 8, 2019.
This is a 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week), night shift position.
In this position you will:
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care needs for patients in a variety of care settings.
Increase your nursing skills and knowledge in a structured environment that promotes progressive development while providing safe, effective nursing care.
Develop and demonstrate critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a frequently fast paced environment.
At Providence Regional Medical Center Everett we are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. Literature shows that having BSN-prepared RNs contributes significantly to the quality of care. To that end, we are requiring that all nurses be either BSN-prepared or achieve their BSN within five years of hire.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher within five (5) years of hire.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State by start date
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Helathcare Provider must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Military Training Network (MTN) at hire.
Completed a pre-licensure nursing program and is newly licensed. Length of time since graduation can vary.
NRP certification required within 90 days of hire.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
