Providence is calling a Non-Certified Medical Assistant (0.9 FTE, Day Shift) to PMG NW Centralized Staff Pool at Providence Medical Group in Everett, WA
The Non-Certified Medical Assistant works with a physician, medical technologist, and office staff to effectively, efficiently and accurately fulfill the duties and responsibilities of an office practice. All procedures and treatments performed must be ordered by the physician. Each Non-Certified Medical Assistant is directly accountable and responsible to the consumer for the quality of nursing care rendered.
In this position you will:
Assist physician in office procedures including medication/immunization administration, physicals/DOT physicals, prescription management, Alcohol/Drug screens, and ECG’s.
Collects data regarding patient/family learning needs, abilities, preferences and readiness to learn.
Completes accurate intake and output.
Completes accurate vital signs. Completes delegated patient care activities and records and reports variations.
Discusses with patients and/or family member medications, treatment instructions and follow-up management.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Medical Assistant Training
Medical Assistant Interim Certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), or Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 1 year experience in a physician's office
