Providence Health & Services Medical Assistant Certified - North Everett Clinic in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Medical Assistant Certified (0.8 FTE, Day Shift) to the North Everett Clinic at Providence Medical Group Northwest in Everett, WA. Offering $3,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates! This is a part time position with benefits (8 hour shifts, 4 days/week, no weekends).
The Medical Assistant Certified performs assigned tasks and activities according to skill level, scope of practice and patient needs as assessed by the RN or Provider. The MA-C cares for patients by following the standard rooming process and may also be required to schedule patient tests, aid in telephone follow-ups and pending prescription refills and referrals.
In this position you will:
Demonstrate knowledge of Providence Health and Service’s policy on Patients Rights and Responsibilities and comply with these rights and responsibilities in carrying out daily activities.
Perform duties within the MA-Certified scope of practice as outlined in PMG policies.
Comply with all other pertinent PMG workflows and polices.
Demonstrate competency in all required clinic workflows including Epic documentation workflows.
Perform work in a manner that meets or exceeds the level of care and service that Providence Health and Services promotes to the communities we serve.
Participates in organization and department specific practices to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
Provide for safety needs of patients.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of a medical assistant program accredited by the ABHES or CAAHEP -OR- Completing of a medical assistant program recognized by the US Dept of Education, which includes a minimum of 720 clock hours of training, including an externship of no less than 160 hours -OR- Completion of a registered apprenticeship program administered by a department of the state of Washington, which ensures that they are eligible to take one or more examinations identified in WAC 246-827-0200(2) -OR- Post-secondary education with a minimum of 720 clock hours of training in medical assisting skills, including an externship of no less than 160 hours -OR- Military training or experience which satisfies the training and experience requirements for a WA DOH MA license.
Current MA – Certified license through the WA State Department of Health.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) preferred.
Previous experience in a physician office setting.
