Providence Health & Services Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) - Emergency Services (0.8 FTE, Evening Shift) in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Health Unit Coordinator (0.8 FTE, Evenings) to work in Emergency Services at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
Responsible for all clerical and receptionist functions for the unit.
In this position you will:
Demonstrate application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool.
Admit, discharge and transfer patients; assemble charts; copy and fax information.
Attend and participate in change of shift report, answers phone using script, communicates in a clear courteous, friendly manner; assists co-workers with duties
Update departmental files, transcription and entry of orders, appropriately maintains progress reports, lab reports, history and physical reports, and all departmental files to ensuring timely availability of information to other staff members
Unit and regulatory task sheets routinely complete, appropriately handle incoming and outgoing communication including but not limited to phone calls, facsimiles, mail, photocopies, staff meeting agendas and minutes.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED -OR- equivalent educ/experience
American Heart Association Healthcare provider CPR recommended
