Providence is calling an Engineer (1.0 FTE, Nights) to work in Plant Operations at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, WA.

The Engineer is responsible for a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the operation, maintenance and repair of building systems, structures and associated electrical, mechanical, environmental and utility equipment and distributions.
In this position you will:
Performs a wide variety of repair, operation and maintenance work. Repair and maintain building systems and structure to include electrical sheet metal work, welding, mechanics, hydraulics, plumbing, painting and ventilation work. Work orders are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner. Scheduled maintenance is completed with in 30 days of due date. Utilizes skills in at least two major systems including electrical, mechanics, plumbing or HVAC.
Steam Boiler Maintenance including safety, cleaning, chemicals, and repair. Conforms to the requirements of annual Washington State Steam License reviews and renewals, 5-year re-certification and compliance testing.
Enters time and service activity. Documents time and actions as measured by monthly service time reports.
Monitors and performs adjustments with the Building Control system. Identify, read and adjust HVAC controls on the workstations. Temperature and air flow is maintained appropriately.
Orders supplies, parts and other materials as needed. Conforms to budgeted expenses and authorization levels for purchase. Maintains cost effective inventory.
Maintains confidentiality of records or medical center information at all times. Confidential information & conversations are secured from general public access. Ensure all faxes and other communications between the RC, the lead node, and the data management centers adhere to federal regulations. Maintains full knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Coursework/Training in Mathematics, Mechanics, Electrical, Blueprint Reading.
Completion of recognized apprenticeship journeyman program; OR full journey status; OR extensive applicable work experience, Vocational training may be substituted for work experience.
Basic Mechanical ability and aptitude.
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Progressively responsible experience in aspects of building construction, maintenance and repair preferably in a healthcare setting where the incumbent has gained skills in areas of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and structural systems.
