Providence Health & Services Distribution Technician I - Medical Supplies in Everett, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Distribution Technician I (1 FTE, Day Shift) to our Medical Supplies Department at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA .
We are seeking a Distribution Technician to work individually and as part of a team, responsible for issuing and delivery of supplies, equipment, linen and meeting Department productivity goals throughout the Medical campuses. Utilizes computer, pallet jacks and other similar heavy duty materials handling equipment to locate, determine levels and move supplies and people under sometimes stressful circumstances.
In this position, you will:
Demonstrate proper inventory handling techniques both in the warehouse and in hospitals.
Accommodate stat requests for supplies, deliveries and surgeries.
Properly loads delivery vehicles.
Properly uses Lawson system upon completion of training.
Re-stock and replaces carts, trays and drawers.
Accurately fills orders (items and counts are correct).
Maintain neat, clean and orderly facility.
Maintain Department Records.
Maintain confidentiality of records or medical center information at all times.
Required Qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant experience in a warehouse environment, preferably one in which an electronic inventory management system was used.
Lift up to 50lbs and push wheeled carts weighing up to 800lbs over hard surfaces.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Healthstream Customer Service Certificate.
Prefer red Qualifications for this position include:
Prior Central Service experience.
Training and education in inventory control techniques.
