Providence Health & Services CT Technologist in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a CT Technologist (Per Diem, Variable Shift) to Imaging Services at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
The CT Technologist independently performs diagnostic CT scans on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The CT Tech also performs additional procedures under the direction of a Radiologist.
In this position you will:
Demonstrate age specific patient care considerations for the population served
Perform CT procedures on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients according to the department protocol. Review procedures with the Radiologist
Reconstruct and films exams in a timely manner to provide accurate avenues for diagnosis. Prepares films for file room and/or hangs films on viewers for timely review by the Radiologist
Assist Radiologist in performing surgical procedures.
Provide radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards and department protocol
Follow all procedures and guidelines pertaining to contrast
Interact with patients and families
Create and Maintain records and documents
Maintain proficiency and the operation of the RMS computer system to ensure timely procedure is performed and proper billing of patients occurs
Maintain supplies in examination rooms to ensure timely procedures.
Monitors equipment operation and maintenance. Maintain order and cleanliness of work areas
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's Degree and/or completion of an approved Radiology Tech program
Current Radiologic Technologist Certification in Washington state
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certificate or passing of ARRT CT specialty exam within one year of hire date
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate or obtain valid CPR card within two weeks of hire date
