Providence is calling a Clinical Data Analyst Surgical Services (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Admin Surgery at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

Updates and maintains the Surgical Data Systems, ensures proper coding for Surgical Services and serves as the primary staff support of the Surgical Services Service Line's information needs. Works with other members of the Medical Center performing research and analysis to provide recommendations for management and realization of service line objectives.
In this position you will:
Manages the processing of data for Surgical Services.
Performs data entry, audits, data integrity confirmation, system upgrade management, user account setups and system security management.
Collects, enters and reports data associated with Surgical Services into and from various information systems.
Supports Medical Records with coding information.
Accurately codes medical information using ICD-9-CM, and other appropriate coding schema.
Works with members of the Medical Records department to ensure accurate abstracting and coding associated with trauma patients.
Provides analyst support to Surgical Services research, education, and other service line activities.
Performs research and analysis as assigned for a variety of departments within the medical center to provide management with recommendations for realizing service line objectives.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED or equivalent educ/experience.
Experience/background in Surgery Scheduling
A combination of education and directly related work experience in health care coding, auditing, and data analysis
