Providence is calling an Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist (0.5 FTE,Variable) to Providence Regional MedicalCenter in Everett, WA.

Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist prepares for and assists the physician in the

testing and/or treatment of patients in the Electrophysiology Lab

procedures. Performs as a monitor tech

and scrub tech; maintaining sterile technique.

In this position you will:

  • Perform/review baseline patientassessment, evaluate patient response to diagnostic or interventional maneuversand medications during Electrophysiology laboratory procedures

  • Provide patient care and administersdrugs commonly used in the EP lab as directed by a qualified physician.

  • Be proficient in basic cardiac lifesupport.

  • Be proficient in the operation andmaintenance, as specific by the manufacturer, of all diagnostic and therapeuticEP equipment used for procedures.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED

  • Graduate of an accredited school ofcardiovascular or radiographic technology

  • Requires at least 6 months cardiac internshipduring education.

  • Prior EP experience in a technical capacity.

  • Must obtain Washington State Department ofHealth Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification (CVIS) or RadiologicTechnologist Certification (ARRT)

  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist(RCES) or Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) must obtain within 12months of hire.

  • Advanced Cardiac Live Support (ACLS) mustobtain within 90 days of hire.

  • Current BLS certification.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

Completion of formal training from an

AMA-approved Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.

Prior experience in a cardiovascular laboratory

preferred.
