Providence Anesthesia Technician I - Anesthesiology in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling an Anesthesia Technician I (1.0 FTE, Evenings) to work in Anesthesiology at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
Prepares operating rooms and equipment for anesthesia, using appropriate techniques and following anesthesia technician guidelines. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes and supports the Core Values of the Sisters of Providence.
In this position you will:
Restock and set up anesthesia equipment in the Surgical and Labor/Delivery suites, including restocking items used by Anesthesiologist; syringes, needles, non-controlled drugs, respiratory equipment and other miscellaneous items.
Change breathing tubing between cases, empty trash bins and change suction canisters and tubing.
Assemble and maintain standardized procedure kits for blocks, central lines, arterial line, blood product infusions and fiber optic scopes.
Maintain adequate par-levels for non-stock supplies and communicate any shortages to the Surgical Materials Specialist
Need to be quickly and accurately troubleshoot machines and equipment
Maintain full knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EPIC)
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED or equivalent education/experience
2 years Anesthesia technician background or equivalent experience
1 year experience in an acute care facility as an anesthesia technician and experience in medication administration
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Anesthesia technician training or graduate of an Anesthesia Technologist Program
