Providence Health & Services Advocate Specialist - Intervention Center in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling an Advocate Specialist to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
We are looking for an Advocate Specialist to provide advocacy, support, information and referrals for adult and child victims and the families who are referred by PESAC staff, Child Protective Services, law enforcement agencies and other community professionals.
In this position you will:
Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills and behaviors in the physician, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PRMCE age specific care competency assessment to
Signs up on on-call schedule as required by agency protocol, and is available for Crisis Line coverage.
Provides 24-hour advocacy services by responding to answering service in a timely manner, provides crisis intervention, emotional support, information, and resources to clients accessing the crisis line.Responds to ED as necessary during shift in a timely manner, providing victims and families with age appropriate crisis intervention, emotional support, information, and resources.
Answers advocate line, working collaboratively with other Advocate Specialists to cover the advocate office phone line and answer calls from clients and community partners
Practices a client-centered model of advocacy, empowering clients to make their own choices and create their own plans for recovery.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor Degree - Social Sciences or related field
Recent experience working with adult and child victims and with group facilitation
Advocacy with victims of all ages
