Providence is calling a Admitting Representative to Providence Health & Services in Everett, WA

This position will ensure that all demographic and insurance information is registered in an accurate and timely manner. Prepare and coordinate and distribution of patient information to nursing units and ancillary departments. Ensure patients are pre-registered prior to their service date in an accurate and timely manner. Monitor scheduling programs for patient appointments. Collect patient co-payments. Perform all duties in a manner which promote and support the Core Values of the Sisters of Providence.

In this position you will:

  • Demonstrate age specific patient care considerations for the population served

  • Ensure each account is registered accurately and completed prior to final billing

  • Collect deposits and/or co-payments as appropriate

  • Update incomplete registration data

  • Develop and maintain the Patient Safety Database

  • Provide staff support to a variety of committees

  • Assist manager with staffing schedules and time care completion

  • Assist in department coverage

  • Maintain confidentiality of records or medical center information at all times

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Previous clerical and in-person customer service experience. Preference being in a health care setting

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Keyboard proficiency (40 wpm), computer data entry, and medical terminology
