Caregiver Community Events
We often partner with local sports teams for caregiver events, volunteer opportunities and fundraisers. Some events include: Providence Caregiver Night (Aquasox), Kids Safety Day (Aquasox), Pink the Rink (Silvertips) which last year raised over $86,000 for Comprehensive Breast Center. March of Dimes, March For Babies – This walk event supports our NICU unit., pitting teams from all departments against each other to see who can raise the most money. Everyone from lab, nurses in NICU, nurses in FMC, ED, imaging, marketing, compete for great incentive prizes like sports tickets and dinners. Teams get quite creative in how they raise funds. The CEO usually does something crazy if we reach a certain $ goal. This year, he is painting his beard purple if we raise $50,000.
Festival of Trees – A 4-day event benefitting Children’s Service – Opening Night to see amazingly decorated trees by staff, Free Community Open House, Gala Dinner and Auction and Teddy Bear Breakfast. Last year’s festival raised a record breaking $735,000
